Lamping Homestead

State Route 537, between Graysville and Marr

Hunting, Fishing and picnic area.

The Lamping family had to build their own house, clear land for farming and growing their own food. New beginnings were a lot of hard work and not always successful. It must have been especially difficult for the Lamping family. The small cemetery located nearby is a testimony to the hardships of trying to raise a family on an early homestead. Today, Lamping offers hunting, fishing, restrooms, picnic tables and primitive camping.
