Reservations, Scheduling and Cancelations


  • Reservations need to be made one (1) day in advance.  Please inform the dispatcher of medical appointments in advance.  This will help coordinate routes and times.
  • The transit system will not call to confirm appointment or pick-up time.
  • There should not be more than a fifteen (15) minute wait for pasenger pick-up.
  • Monroe County Public Transportation is committed to honoring passengers' schedule needs in a costly fashion
  • Drivers will not wait as this can cause unnecessary delays.
  • Certification for Elderly and Disabled passenger must be available.  (e.g. Golden Buckeye Card, Social Security Card, Medical Card with Doctor's Signature).
  • Cancellations need to be made ASAP.  PLEASE do so as far in advance as possible.  With doing this it helps us better accomodate others who need our services.
  • Please be sure to cancel pick-up times well in advance so other passengers needs can be met.  NO SHOWS may result in SUSPENSION OF SERVICES.
  • MCPT does door to door service.  The driver will not assist you into the buildings or home.
  • No more than four (4) bags of groceries can be brought onto the van. 
  • Drivers will assist carring packages, groceries and any other items to your door, but will not go into your residence.
