Program Education:
Matter of Balance classes are offered as a collaboration between the Health Department and OSU Extension office. Class sessions address seniors concerns about falling, viewing falls and the fear of falling as controllable. The program helps seniors set realistic goals for increasing activity, while introducing simple changes to reduce fall risk factors in the home. The program also promotes exercise to increase strength, improve flexibility and overall balance.
